Our Mission of Grace
Grace Lutheran Church welcomes all as God's children and, with Christ's guidance, offers a caring, friendly atmosphere for worship, Spiritual Growth, Fellowship and Education. We support the mission and programs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and provide opportunities and challenges to serve the human and spiritual needs of our wider community.
Welcome "Home" To Grace!
Saint Paul, in his second letter to the church in Corinth, writes, "We have this treasure in clay vessels…"
It is a treasure of mission and purpose found in Jesus Christ; the treasure of a people; called, gathered and sent into the world to be a light in the darkness.
Fifty years ago the mission of Grace Lutheran Church began. We've met in various places; a restaurant, a little white church, and now our present site on N.E. Eighth.
One pastor wrote in the bulletin for his first service at Grace, "What makes a church beautiful? It surely isn't the walls or the paint. It is the beauty of our faces expressed in goodwill, a happy face and a wonderful vision for the future. Make ours a beautiful church!".
We have this treasure … fifty years of Grace Lutheran Church and the people that make it beautiful. Come and join us!
