A note from Peter Young

Peter is a Team Katrina member currently a sophomore at Pacific Lutheran University. He was unable to be a part of the presentation on Sept. 24th but wanted to write a note of thanks:

First and foremost I want to say that I can't even begin to thank all of you for this wonderful opportunity. This was by far my favorite missions trip that I have ever had the chance to be apart of. I like many others knew that a hurricane named Katrina had hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast and that because of it the city of New Orleans was flooded. unfortunately that was only the tip of the iceberg. I never was able to fully understand the amount of devastation and destruction that katrina left in her wake. Before our trip I thought that I had a real appreciation for everything I had. But after spending a week working and living with people who had absolutely nothing I came to realize just how lucky I am. I will carry the faces of those people I met and thier stories with me for the rest of my life. Once again I can't even begin to explain to you in words what this trip meant to me, i assure you that it was worth every penny and I fully intend to return to the Gulf Coast seeing as how there is plent of work to be done. Thank you.
